Hi! I'm Chelsea Barton, a wedding DIY expert, author, creative educator, and founder of the leading online wedding magazine Tidewater and Tulle. For nearly twenty years, I've been helping couples create beautiful weddings through approachable DIY projects, creative education, and thoughtful design.
As a former classroom art teacher, wedding photographer, and editor-in-chief originally from Virginia, I've spent my career bringing beauty, creativity, and inspiration to every project I touch. The thread connecting every chapter has always been a passion for design, hands-on making, and building creative communities.
After moving to England to be with my husband, Mr. B, I began the next chapter of my creative career while continuing to grow Tidewater and Tulle into an internationally recognized wedding resource. Along the way, wedding DIY became the heart of my work, allowing me to share elevated yet approachable projects that empower couples to create with confidence.
Today, I bring together my experience in editorial publishing, art education, photography, and hands-on making to create DIY tutorials, educational resources, brand collaborations, and creative content that bridges the gap between inspiration and execution. I also work with leading brands, retailers, publishers, and media outlets to develop engaging workshops, trend insights, and educational experiences for modern makers and couples.
Since 2016, I've partnered with creative technology brand Cricut as an educator, product expert, and content creator in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Through workshops, media events, in-store demonstrations, and educational content, I've helped thousands of makers confidently create stylish wedding projects.
In 2026, I wrote and photographed my first book, Cricut Weddings, bringing together years of wedding DIY expertise into a beginner-friendly guide filled with modern, approachable projects. It's now available worldwide wherever books are sold.

When I'm away from my desk, you'll usually find me reading historical fiction, tackling a jigsaw puzzle, traveling with Mr. B, searching for the best gluten-free dessert, or relaxing at home with our two wonderfully opinionated cats, Miss Pickles Barrington and Juniper McIntyre.
