Hello! My name is Chelsea Barton, and creating wedding inspiration has been my jam for almost 20 years.
As a former classroom art teacher, wedding photographer, and founder and editor-in-chief originally from Virginia, I’ve spent my career bringing beauty, creativity, and inspiration to every project I touch. The thread connecting all my professional chapters has always been design, creativity, and community.
Since moving to England to be with my husband Mr. B, I've been rebuilding my career and creative voice in a new country with my new name. Through my publication Tidewater and Tulle, wedding DIY has become a central professional focus, allowing me to share approachable, elevated projects that inspire others to create with confidence.
Alongside my work in editorial and publishing, I combine my experience in media with hands-on DIY expertise, designing tutorials, brand collaborations, and creative content that bridges the gap between inspiration and execution.
Since 2016, I've worked with creative technology brand Cricut in the United States through online wedding content creation, representing the wedding niche at media events in New York City, teaching at the 2018 Mountain-Make-A-Thon conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, supporting and helping at City Events around the country in 2017, and hosting local in-store activations for new Cricut products.
In the UK, I continue the freelance partnership as a Cricut Ambassador (Product Expert and Educator) hosting in-store demonstrations and events.
Recent highlight of my career? I've just written and photographed my very first book, Cricut Weddings, and it's available worldwide wherever books are sold in-store and online.
I have been featured for my industry insight and wedding DIY expertise in Martha Stewart Weddings, Southern Living Magazine, Pioneer Woman, She Knows, Travel Channel, Hello! Middle East, Professional Photographer Magazine, and more. I absolutely love speaking at local, national, and international workshops and conferences and happily share my career experience as a leading online niche wedding publication for over 10 years.
When I'm away from my desk, I love to read historical fiction books, do jigsaw puzzles, travel with Mr. B, seek out the best gluten-free food (particularly desserts!), and quietly relax at home with our cats, Pickles Barrington and Juniper McIntyre.
